Basic details: Articles

Since my magzine will be designed to appeal to the readers who are into kpop, the articles for my magazines will be mostly about different kpop idol groups news. For example, new album release and gossip (which is not going to be about criticising certain groups as some readers are likely to stop buying my product but it will be breaking the rumors and criticisms about Kpop idols that are not true.). For all the articles, I’m going to use informal English as my magazine will try to get closer to the audience and they feel not hard to read them.

The first article (on the left side of the mag) will be about an upcoming k – pop music artist’s concert schedule because my target audience will be international fans who find it difficult to stay up to date on kpop news. It will feature a large letter as the background and a picture without a background beside it. This will prevent readers from skipping some articles and only reading the headlines. To summarise, the first article will be aimed at international fans and will cover a group’s international tour schedule.
The article following the first will focus on a new reality series which another band will participate. As an outcome, it will be followed by a poster portraying the group as a whole. This is not going to be a long article.
Finally the last article on the left side of the page will be about new album release of a new band. It will include a short description of the album and some information about where the readers can buy them. This article is also going to include some description about the band.

The description of the band will introduce each members to the audience. The band is going to have one black skinned member. In kpop industry there haven’t been a black skinned member, there always have been brighter skinned members in the group, so this article will talk about why there haven’t been black skinned member in kpop industry as well.

Each article is going to have a headline next to it.

On the right side of the double page spread, I’m going to have two choices:
Critisism of K-pop industry
there will be a long article discussing criticisms about kpop. Some journalists and people who work in the music industry have shown some criticisms on kpop music industry. Here are the links to the news;

criticisms about kpop music
They claim that kpop entertainments require (force) people to practise as much as they can without considering their physical and mental health.
Another criticism is that the music produced by kpop industry are too similar and each group(band) has similar concepts. So, many of the journalists claim that each groups(band) should write and compose their own music.
